Teen Ministries

ROOTED Youth Group exists to glorify God through the teaching, training, and mentoring of teenagers as they seek to establish their faith on His Word. Working together with parents, we strive to strengthen the family unit that God has established.

ROOTED in Faith

Colossians 2:6-7 — “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving”

With Jesus as their goal and the Holy Spirit as their guide, our teenagers can walk in Christ and not be moved if they are first ROOTED and established in the faith of our Lord. This is taught through regular preaching sessions and strengthened through teen activities such as Singspirations, Missions Trips, Camp, and Outreach events.

More Than Fun and Games

A Lasting Impact

Only one life ’twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.” — C.T. Studd

Unity In Worship

We sing together and give testimony of God’s work in our lives. Prayer requests are shared here and we bear each other’s burdens as we bring each request to God in the moment. Praising God through song and prayer is what prepares our hearts for the preaching of His Word.

Preaching & Teaching

Instruction In Righteousness

On Wednesdays we preach a heart-stirring message from God’s Word and give time to respond to the truth. On Sundays we teach chapter-by-chapter in a detailed and accurate manner, highlighting the sufficiency of Scriptures for daily life. Book studies have included Daniel and Ezra

Growth Groups

Participation In Study

After the message on Wednesdays, we study God’s Word together conversationally through small-group format. During this time, the floor is open for discussion, questions, and prayer. This has been shown to build long-term mentoring relationships between peers and leaders, and to connect the teens with visitors

How To Be Involved

These annual activities give unique opportunities to serve in Youth Group

The Rocky Mountain Baptist Youth Conference is a multi-church activity in which many other Youth Groups join ours for a full day of preaching, fellowship, and activities.

Teen Camp

Here, teens are disconnected from their devices and given the opportunity to invest into their relationship with God. The unique activities, amazing food, and updated cabins act as a retreat away from the busyness of life.

Dodgeball Tournaments

Attracting over 100 teenagers from the Denver area, this Tournament is all about outreach! Anyone attending this free event will receive pizza, donuts, high-intensity dodgeball, and a straight-forward Gospel message.

Mission Trips

Every summer, 9th-12th graders are invited to join a Missions Trip out of state which often lasts over 7 days. From assisting church-plants to building structures, we mingle physical labor with advanced training sessions to propel our student-leaders into the next level of service to the Lord.

Common Questions

Yes! Other activities include regular Singspirations, Winter Retreats, Christmas Parties, and seasonal events. Contact us for a complete list of upcoming events!

Discipleship looks like one-on-one mentoring over breakfast, coffee, or shared activities. We love it when teenagers ask the hard questions! Evangelism takes place in many of our events, as well as handing out tracts in popular areas.

Please contact Pastor Stephen White for more information regarding the ROOTED Youth Group and calendar of events.

No. During the school year, we incorporate Growth Groups as part of our time together. In the summer, we take a break from Growth Groups to make way for more active games in our large ball field.

Jesus said that he came not to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many. We are called to serve God and one another, and there is no minimum age at which that may start. We believe teenagers serving in the local church prepares them for a lifetime of faithfulness to our Lord.
